Mario Sunshine (japanese) and English

How essential do you think it will be that you can speak Japanese to understand this game? Does anyone know if Nintendo will have an English language option like in SSB:M?

Probably won't know whether there is an English language option until someone gets the import as it's not something they're going to advertise.

I'd say it would be tough to play if there isn't an English option though. Mario 64 would have been tough as you wouldn't have been able to read any of the hint boxes, signs etc.

I'll just wait for the U.S. version myself, it's only a month or so later.

I figure you can get a long just fine -- just follow the "SHINE GET"!

If I had any faith in Nintendo's US release date(s) I would too. Besides, I have time between now and end of Aug. to devote to this game, after that I am strapped for time.

It will definitely be out on the Aug 26th. It would have been pushed back at E3 if it was going to be delayed.

I've never seen Nintendo change a release date on a 1st party title this close to the wire. I'm waiting until August myself.

One of the many reasons to wait.

I don't think there will be an option for english text unfortunately. They usually don't do it with these kinds of games. I'm not sure how much text is in the game, but I have seen pictures of Mario talking to other characters so there must be some, also I suppose there might be text explanations on what to do. We really won't know until its released in a couple weeks. I'm betting that a lot of sites have already pre-ordered the japanese version and will give a report as soon as its released. Hopefully someone on PGC or Gamefaqs will be kind enough to translate it. I'll be waiting until August as well because my Japanese isn't as good as it used to be .
