Dang....63 views and not one response. I figured people would jump all over this deal. Is there a better price elsewhere?

Is this coupon reusable? I can't decide between Vice City and Kingdom Hearts. I'd love some input.

Maybe I'm a little behind on this but when does it ship? And are there any pics of it up anywhere?

This code is good for others to use....as far as using it yourself more than one time....you would need to set up another account with a different email and user name.

Well, FWIW Kingdom Hearts is a known commodity. It's done. I have heard enough people rave about this game and have seen enough screenshots and movies to know it's a quality product . I'm really looking forward to it. Cloud and Mickey Mouse together battling evil? Tell me you don't want to see THAT?
Vice City has me a little worried. I can't imagine that it's bad, but the complete lack of even screenshots has me concerned about the pace of developent and a possble rush job being done. At best, it could be another great GTA3-worthy game, but at worst, I fear a carbon copy of GTA3 with an 80's flair. That wouldn't be terrible, but I'm not that psyched to spent $50 on an expansion pack. Anyways, that's my .02.

I was reading the description for Vice City and couldn't help but laugh:

"The release date and image are not final, are in no way backed by the game's publisher, and are subject to change."

The key phrase there is of course in no way backed by the game's publisher"

So, with 286 views on this thread....did anyone order this thru dvdempire or am I the only one? This seems to be the best possible price for the time being. If someone else has seen better, please let us all know.

I ordered KH. GTA:VC will be out on PC and PC ver > PS2 ver. The other games of interest I rather get the import version. Onimusha 2 may end up being censored like the first version did. Regardless of censorship in Onimusha 2, the JP copy is the only version to have a bonus music video included. As usual, US gamers get no respect.

Preordering it for 43$ isn't much of a deal.. It's going to be 39.99 the first week it comes out at Bestbuy, and I'm betting it might just be 34.99 (ala thps3, and gta3).
(best case scenario: 34.99 at BB, combined with a 5$off coupon from EGM, 29.99 out the door. same way i got gta3 last year.)

$0.02

Considering that this IS the best deal currently....yes it is a deal. Good luck to you though on a price of $34.99. I could probably see $39.99 but not less than that price. Why should Rockstar lose that kind of money on a proven product? They could never have imagined the success that they are experiencing with GTA3 for the PS2. Seriously doubt anyone will see a price that cheap but once again....good luck to you.

For me it is alot more convenient to have it delivered to my front door.

BTW....I actually did not pay a dime for GTA3 ala the Toys R Us deal offered last year. The buy 2 get one free deal......

Maybe we will all benefit from another promotion this year.

Rockstar probably doesn't have anything to do with it, it's Best Buy acting as a loss leader.

Exactly... Rockstar sells these to Bestbuy at about 20-25$ ... MSRP will be 49.99 like most games out there. But in a first week situation, (as well as big shopping weekends) you see items being sold at about 30% off... including DVD's CDs and books...

49.99 -30% = 34.99

I guarantee this game will be sold for at most 39.99 its first week out (at best buy and circuit city)... And then anywhere from 34.99-39.99 during thanksgiving day weekend (at best buy) ... EXACTLY how GTA3 was treated.

If I hadn't ordered it already from gamestop during one of their free overnight shipping promotions, I would have taken the plunge. I'll gladly pay the extra $6.63 to make sure that I get this the day after it's released.

But, I *did* use the coupon to get Metroid Prime.

Does anyone know if GTA3 will drop to $19.99 shortly after this is released?

The game is fun, but I'm not willing to pay $50 for it (or vice city) because I'm not a fan of open ended games. Once I finish the missions, I'd probably never play it again. Running around and doing whatever I want just doesn't interest me.

Plus I hated the 80's, don't like hardly any of the music, movies, etc. from that period, so the 80's flair in Vice City is a turn off for me.

Don't knock it till you try it. The game is endlessly fun.

I'll try it, just not for $50. I hate open ended games. I like to be on a linear story driven path, beat the game and move on to the next one (with the exception of sports games and fighting games).

I'm a hardcore Japanese-type gamer, linear RPGs and quirky off-beat titles for example. But after trying it with using my Freedom Pass at Blockbuster, I must get this game but I'm willing to wait for the price drop for the PC version. The carnage is just fun. Yes, the plot and characters are weak. Your main guy doesn't even have a name! But I love to shoot people, run over cops, beatup old ladies, etc. Being a lunatic is bliss! One fun "open-ended" game among your RPGs won't kill you. Morrowind, on the other hand, had a great concept about open-endedness but was poorly executed. Definitely linear JP style RPGs until a really enjoyable open-ended RPG come along. GTA3 is a great game to play for the summer until the rainfall of RPGs on PS2 this fall. GTA3 is definitely the "mainstream" type game since even other "import-type" gamers love this game. It's the one non-Japanese game you and everyone else should play.
