I'll probably pass on this, as it will likely just be more of the same. I played the first 2 to death on the Dreamcast, and just couldn't get into the third one.
I've always only beat it with one character to open all the levels up for freeskate, so hardcore fans that have beaten all three games with every character probably will love THPS4, regardless of how many new features it brings to the series.

Other than the GameBoy Advance version, I've never played Tony Hawk.
I was thinking about getting 2X cheap, but I'm wondering if I should just jump to 3 (Xbox or PS2).
I like SSX Tricky, but I don't think they're that similar. I hated Amped. I get the impression that Tony Hawk games are a no-brainer, often overlooked by those (me) that don't care anything about skateboarding.
This $15 off 2 games at Best Buy has me tempted. Should Tony Hawk be one of the the 2??

Alright, I was at a newstand and a magazine had something about THPS4 so I read it but I forgot which magazine it was... Here's the basics:
- No goals stated. The levels will be full of NPCs and each NPC will give you a goal or a task to do.
- The levels will apparently be gigantic. Something akin to the prison break level in Twisted Metal Black or some of the levels in Halo. Each level will have a different area... one of the levels they had was a college campus.
- The article mentioned something about a spine transfer special between ramps but it sounded like a feature that has existed since THPS1.
- The article also mentioned the O2 surfing came for Slater coming out soon.
It had a few screenshots but nothing spectacular...

I played a little THPS4 at E3 - it was waay better than THPS3 and brought back some of what made the first two so good and got rid of a few things that took away from 3 and added new stuff. Graphics were great and the levels were really great. I'm excited.

I have found somethings on the net about this game, and quite a bit in some magazines including pictures, and I was thinking of posting a preview for this game on here. It looks like there is some interest I might have to do it later.
