Question about Sony's DVPNS415 DVD player?
I have been pretty happy with Sony players so I have no problem buying another...
Does this player have a built in DTS decoder like the old 560D and 570D did? I know it has DD but does it have DTS?
Does anyone know how well this player will play VCD's?

Doesn't look like it. Do you own a 5.1 receiver without DD and DTS decoders? Check out www.vcdhelp.com for more VCD info.

Yes. My current player is a 530D. It has a built in DD decoder. I wanted to get a new one that had the DTS decoder built in, like the 570D had. I also want a player that can play VCD's better.
I tried vcdhelp.com and could not find this player.

Here in Europe we have the DVP-NS405. It doesn't have an integrated DTS decoder. The only ones here that do are the DVP-NS700 and DVP-NS900.
I'm assuming Sony would follow suit with the US market and only have it's top level DVD players have this feature.
