AC/DC's "Back in Black" is 2 awesome.

They're using it in that new animated Disney movie.

Yeah! That song/riff has a real groove to it. I even heard Janet Jackson say she loved that song for this very reason.

Let me also add Iron Maiden's "2 Minutes to Midnite" and "Back to the Village"(sequel to "The Prisoner" inspired by the TV show) .

"Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" by Van Halen is probably my favorite riff of all time.

I agree that "Over The Hills And Far Away" is great. We refute your thumbs-down!

"Kick Out the Jams" - MC5
"Makin' Time" - The Creation
"Born on the Bayou" - CCR
"2 + 2 = ?" - Bob Seger System
"Sunshine of Your Love" - Cream
"Spanish Castle Magic" - Jimi Hendrix
"Standards" - The Jam
"Hazy Shade of Winter" - Simon and Garfunkel

"Dirty Water" - The Standells
"Don't Look Back" - The Remains
"Andy Warhol" - David Bowie
"Rocket Boy" - Liz Phair
"Cherub Rock" - Smashing Pumpkins

Sheesh, gotta end this list before it gets outta control!

Not sure if it's my favorite, but the opening riff to Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is pretty darn good (though I think that it's the drums that really make it memorable).
