Help finding a song...

Hello...I shant be a bother on this forum (promise!), but I've been looking for this song that I've heard, it sounds probably mid-60's, with a strong trumpet/brass riff in the middle.

I can catch a few words in the song...specifically, a few things about "little darling" and "eyes", and "listen baby, I don't want to let you..."

The song contains numerous sections of really fast singing, and plenty of grunts.

Of note is that it ends...then picks back up, then into another verse, then REALLY ends.

If ANYBODY can help out...it'd be awesome.

That's not the song, although it's a good one! I'm not gonna make this a major board issue and bump it a million times...I could add a few more somewhat distinguishing features to it, but I could say most that it sounds very Blood, Sweat, and Tears-ish.

Summertime
And the living is easy
Fish are jumpin'
And the cotton is high

Oh, your daddy's rich
And your mama's good lookin'
So hush little baby now
don't you cry

One of these mornin's
You're gonna rise up singin'
Then you'll spread your wings
And take to the sky

But til that mornin'
Ain't nothin' can harm you
With your daddy
And your mammy
standin' by

George Gershwin - Dubose Heyward

Try This , track 2

Mungo Jerry - "In the Summertime" perhaps?

Don't know all the words, but some memorable ones..."If her daddy's rich take her out for a meal/If her daddy's poor just do what you feel."

The song is Summertime, but which version?

My guess is that you are listening to Janis Joplin's version, here is a 30 second clip in windows media player:

If that's not it, start browsing this list: http://towermusic.endeca.com/towermu...mmertime&dym=1

You can probably rule out Charlotte Church.
