Anyone own the Energy Take 5.2 series?

I'm looking at picking up the Energy Take 5.2 speakers, after hearing a short demo on them late last year and saving up for them. I also will be picking up the S8.2 sub to go along with it, and pairing it with a Denon AVR-2802 receiver and my Panasonic RV-65 player.

So if anyone owns the Energy Speakers, can I get a quick review? I 've been looking, and I don't think there's anything out there that's better for the price. (I'm seeing $625 shipped as my best deal on the 5.2+sub set) They are quite highly regarded on audioreview.com, and I thought I'd see what my fellow DVDtalkers have to say. Also, if anyone knows of any good deals on these out there, or the Denon AVR-2802, let me know...

Those speakers are Awesome. My friend has them...and I am very envious...If Hadn't bought the Speakers I had, I would buy buy the energi 5.2. The sound out of the Five speakers has a very "natural", not tinny sound. The subwoofer's lowend is incredible. Try the Chariot scene in Gladiator as a sound demo...it's great.

A buddy of mine has them and is very happy. I thought they sounded very good with proper placement (as with any speakers). Great deal for the money.

I don't know how much you value the opinions of magazine reviewers, but this months (July/August 2002) Stereophile Guide to Home Theater has a positive review of these speakers. If you are considering a purchase, it won't hurt to do a quick read.
