Few questions...

I have this UPCOMING RE-RELEASESES LIST in the main forum

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=89464

It has now spread to 10 pages and contains 241 replies.

I, and some of the contributors, have posted few replys to the thread were we have asked users to delete their posts to make the thread shorter. The results have not been good. Maybe ten posts were removed but that's it.

Could the moderators possibly delete some of the posts to make it shorter?

Also, how does the "report post to moderator" work? Does it inform the moderator of the whole thread or simply that particular post? Should I start to use it to inform you which posts should be deleted? That way no important posts will be deleted. On the other hand, if it reports the entire thread, it won't work.

Starting a new thread might be one answer but there are many replies in the thread that need to be there to answer frequently asked questions.

The individual post that you click the "Report this post to a moderator" link in is reported to the moderators of that forum. They'll see the thread title, a link to the thread itself, a link to the individual post being reported, and any comments you entered.

I'll go take a look and see if I can prune it down some.

Ok, I split out about six pages into this thread:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=213152

Let me know if I took out anything that should have been left in.

Also let me know if I missed anything. I tried to remove all answered requests or information about titles that have already streeted.

Why couldn't Mikko simply copy and paste the relevant information from his first post into a Part 2 thread? He could then delete the old thread or ask a mod to close it. Seems to be what most people do when their information compilation threads get really long. ;)

And after having gone through the whole thread myself, I have to agree. There were quite a few questions asked who's answers would be useful to others who frequent the thread.
