DVD Talk Legend
Biggest Surprise
PS2
and
Best Action Game:
PS2
War of the Monsters
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment America
Developer: Incog., Inc.
We knew that Incog Inc. was using its kick-ass Twisted Metal: Black engine again, but never in a million years did we think that it would turn out to be this fun. With 10 unique stages, 10 different types of monsters including apes, aliens, and mechanized robots, and a special moves list taken directly out of your favorite B movies from the '50s and '60s, War of the Monsters is a good example of how to preserve the Power Stone legacy and move action party games to the next level.
very fun game!!!
I was shocked by how much I liked it

Kind of off topic, but has it been established if Kingdom Hearts is a kid's game or not, ala FF:MQ?

I'm still not interested in it, as I'm a very casual RPG fan to begin with and can't stand Disney.

If I remember correctly I think Famitsu gave Kingdom Hearts a 36/40, which is a 9 from each reviewer. The game looks sweet, Square did an awesome job with Super Mario RPG, they're the only ones who could pull this job off and from the movies it looks great! If you saw Extended Play's preview of the game on last weeks show, there's quite a bit of action in it, it plays sorta like Threads of Fate but different. They also show a lot of characters from previous FF games like Cloud who have voices now. Its taking way too long to get here but it'll be worth it
I can't wait for Metroid Prime either. I don't like many FPS games but I watched the intro movie and when it played the classic intro metroid music I was jumping outta my chair!

From what I've read it's definitely not for kids. It's harder than FFX according to OPM.
