GTA3: Shotgun/Mafia TV commercial

There's a clip where they show the main character pointing a shotgun at some wise guys at Salvi's estate ... I don't remember that scene from the game. Can anyone refresh my memory?

A friend of mine who played through the game said the very same thing. "That never happened!" he said in frustration.

Yes, that never happened in the PS2 version either - not sure if it is a tweak..

They also showed a car in a commercial that was a color you can't get in the game.

To my knowledge, all the commercials were filmed before the intial release. Probably once the game was in Alpha and certain areas were working correctly. Most of the textures for the cars were changed, such as the Police cars resembled NYC cop cars. Check out the commercial with the Stinger jumping the L-Train track. Where it lands, is an open field, but in the release version, you jump into a mess of trees. A bunch of differences.

Well, now that we know it never happened, I guess I can stop playing the game all over again to see if I missed a mission ...

I had heard there was a terroist sub plot that they completely removed from the game post 9/11 which explains Donald Love's disappearence. This might have something to do with that video.

I don't see were it would fit in the current story line. You are on good terms when he decides to whack you.

No, don't stop! It's just as fun the second time through!
