Your Thoughts: Mister Mosquito

Personaly I think this game is horrible. The intro to the game is about 8 minutes talking about the life of a mosquito. Sure, some parts were funny, but overall this game sucks (no pun intended )

What do you think?

I haven't played it yet, but will probably buy it as soon as it drops to a reasonable price. I'm a sucker for quirky japanese games, even if they are rather bad.

It's WAY too short and the little movies are just so stupid they made me mad... not funny stupid but just out and out dumb. I really regretted buying it and wished I had just done a rental halfway through it. When I beat it that night it just reinforced that. Sure I didn't get a A+ or whatever on all the levels, but I really didn't feel the need to go back and try for it... something a better game would have made me do. The new colored mosquitos didn't cut it for me, although I had all the colors by the time I beat it anyway.

If you haven't played it, rent it. The repetitive play and the annoying cinemas make the whole novel game concept dull in a few hours. Sure they spice it up, and it even gets hard in the last few levels (read: they cheat) but you'll still have it beaten in a night.

I found Mad Maestro much more appealing and had the replay value that this title didn't. It too had cinemas so stupid they made you groan, but the gameplay itself keeps me coming back... not to mention all the great songs and the need for me to unlock them all! I also "beat" this game in a night, but it keeps me coming back to open up everything.

I rented this last week, and I'd agree it does make a good rental to play through once. But you have to keep in mind that these type of "quirky" offbeat games aren't designed with the mass public in mind, which is why most of them stay in Japan. Its pretty unusual for a game like this to come here because the audience isn't as big in the US for these kinds of games, but I'm praying that with the US release of games like this and Mad Maestro they'll release Zettai Zetsumei here!
