Full Throttle 2 announced...YES!

Coming to consoles and PC in 2003: http://www.theforce.net/games/index.html#16752

LucasArts site is very slow, so I linked to theforce.net's site on it.

Seems as if Adventure games are not dead! Go Ben!

I wonder if Tim Schaefer (the original creator) is involved in the development? I would assume no, since he's probably got his hands full developing 'Psykonauts' for Xbox. Any idea?

VERY COOL.... (but I'd rather see a 'Sam & Max' 2)

LucasArts descrived the game as "action adventure".

Hmmmm...

Tomb Raider is action adventure.

I don't think adventure is quite out of the grave yet.

I guess it's cool that they're coming out with another graphic adventure (assuming Grimfarrow's suspicion isn't correct), but Full Throttle is one of the most overrated of the genre. Way too easy and short.

I SO agree with you. I felt jipped buying the game, since I finished it in about 4 hours. $50 for 4 hours is a waste of money.

I have to disagree. I loved Full Throttle and I'm extremely excited about a sequel. Full Throttle had more grit to it than Day of the Tentacle and Sam and Max(which were both very cool games). I enjoy the adventure style games and have been waiting for a new one ever since I finished the last Monkey Island.

Full Throttle 2? That is AWESOME news! I hope "Moe" returns as well. She was cool as hell.

There will be a Sam and Max game out on at least X-Box, it should be shown at E3. LucasArts lost its license for Sam and Max a long time ago.

Also Tim is in no way tied to Full Throttle 2 as far as I know. He moved on to other things obviously, but the LucasArts adventures lived on.

I'd like to know if the game will evolve to 3-d or will it remain the 2-d animated style?

It was too short, but I enjoyed it. Hard to believe they're finally dusting this one off. I took it home from EB for a night(one perk of working there), and played through it. Then I picked it up from the Best Buy bargain bin a year or two later.
