Any DVD reviews of The Hustler: SE yet?
Or the other two Paul Newman films to be released on DVD (Hombre, The Verdict) June 4th, for that matter? I am especially interested in The Hustler, quality and extras. Can anyone comment on this disc if you have it or have you seen any reviews online (because I haven't)? Thanks.

Check out the review at www.dvdmaniacs.net - 5 stars for everything. Great cinematography, pristine print and a stereo mix of the great Kenyon Hopkins score, something that's done way too infrequently on 60's films.
I haven't watched my DVD yet because the weather has been too nice to spend in smoky pool halls.

Merged all the Hustler threads together.
Here's DVDFile's review of the Hustler by the way.
The reviewer loves the movie, is mostly happy with the video (thinks it should have been a 2 disc set to offset some artifacting he saw) thinks the audio is adequate and the extras are very good. Nice review. Helped me make my mind up about this title (in addition to already hearing that it's a great film).
