How can I get free ticket to attend exhibit in Los Angeles next week? I'm working in computer field but not in the entertainment industry.

Welcome to the forum. I believe the E3 web site is:
http://www.e3expo.com
You should be able to find out what you need to do there.

I do believe registration is over, at least for freebies.
Also, jusrt working in the computer field will most likely not be enough, especially this late in the game.

Or really in any part of the game. You actually have to be in the industry (gaming or gaming press) to even get a pass. Just being in the computer field is not good enough.
I have my pass, but I am not going. And I am not going to give my pass to anyone so don't ask.

The best way to get a free pass now is to make friends with someone who has ties to the big game developers or publishers. I'm actually getting a couple passes that way for some close friends. Sorry...can't get anymore.

Thank you for all of your responses. I attended computer conferences like Networld Interop or Comdex and they usually indicated that their exhibits are not open to the public. However, there are ways to get free tickets to these exhibits. I guessed free tickets for E3 is a lot harder to get.

I've gone to same expos too. E3 is really strict about making sure you're industry. The only way to get in is by being industry or knowing someone in the industry

I guess its not like PMA (photography and imaging) were all I had to do was show them a business card...any business card will do, and tell them I'm in imaging. you have to pay but...you get to play too.

They ask for two forms of verification to prove you are in the industry such as business licenses, business cards, paycheck stub...can't remember the rest of the list. It's not easy to just make something up with them this year.
