Yancey - How is the Down with Wilco disc? Never been a big fan of McCaughey, but having Wilco as his backing band definitely intrigues me...

I've only listened to it a couple of times. It's pretty close to Summerteeth style-wise, just with McCaughey singing lead. Jeff sings lead on one song called "The Family Gardner," which is okay. A friend of mine who is a huge Wilco fan actually likes this album more than YHF. The melodies are much more obvious. It's a good album, but I seriously doubt I'll listen to it more than 5 times.

As if I didn't have enough music to listen to today, I just picked up the new Pretty Girls Make Graves album and Van Der Graaf Generator's "Pawn Hearts" during lunch. Yowzas!

I hate not having internet access at work...

5ive Style - s/t
Son Volt - "Trace"
Nick Drake - "Pink Moon"
Super Furry Animals - "Rings Around the World"
90 Day Men - "To Everybody"

I just picked up tickets for an early June Trail of Dead/Secret Machines show. It should be great.
