Hmm...What if Xbox Live is promoted like MSN Internet Access?
As I was glancing through the weekly Best Buy sale paper, I noticed the usual MSN $200 shopping spree offered if you commit to 2 years of MSN Internet Access at $21.95 a month.
I'm intrigued at the thought of Microsoft using the same type of promotion with the XBox. Now I'm assuming they will have multi-tiered online plans probably ranging from $9.99 to $19.99, so lets just say the most costly plan is $19.99.
"Sign up for 24 months of XBox Live Premium Service at $19.99/mo and you will receive an instant $200 shopping spree!" (or something to that nature)
You could spend it on anything in the store just like the MSN instant rebate. Potential XBox owners could apply it to the cost of the XBox. You could get a Xbox for $99 (or less if the price drops at E3).
Anyway, It's just a theory.

as long as i can cancel and not pay it back like the old $400 MSN deal then i would love it
Microsoft bought me a 27" Tv that time so a free XBox would be nice of them
of course if i really had to pay them $480 to use their service in exchange for $200 today i would pass.
