Wow, Tool's really covering a lot of ground playing in that same area.
Oh well, I'm sure this is just the first batch of tour dates. Hopefully they'll be hitting the rest of the country as well.
APC should be getting revved up by year's end.

You just need to ask yourself one question:
Do I want to drive down to lame ass Tucson, or is it time for a Vegas trip?

The rumor is that the tour will mainly be secondary market.

Too bad it is a nine hour drive from here.
I really hope some more tour dates will list another batch of cities from Texas. They just better not be Amarillo or Lubbock. Those two are too damned far as well.

wow, I just realized that I'll be in Vegas for the July 19th show. That's my b-day, so may just have to check out the show.

quote:
"the opening act for the tour is Mike Patton's (Faith No More)
new band. I forget the name but their debut album came out last year."
His new band is 'fantomas'. Faith No More is one of my favorite groups of all time...and I can't stand Fantomas at all!!! Go to amazon and listen to some clips. I saw them open for Tool a couple months ago and to me, listening to them is like pure torture.

Errrrrrrrr... Ummm... Negative.
The band (Patton's) in question is Tomahawk... Read this thread. Fantomas is just one of several bands that Patton has going at the moment. Tomahawk is the band that will be opening and also features members of Helmet, The Jesus Lizard and The Melvins. As for Fantomas... The Director's Cut is a brilliant piece of work.
Oh, and for the record, it should be Mike Patton from Mr. Bungle... Faith No More became quite popular but he came from Mr. Bungle and still records with them.
