Bride of Re-Animator & Brain Damage:SE
On these 2 films what is the overall quality of picture and sound on the discs?
Overall are these films worth getting?
I love gory horror comedies such as BRAIN DEAD and am looking forward to recieving RE-ANIMATOR and i'm very interested in these, especially BRAIN DAMAGE due to its good reviews.
Thanks for any help on this in advance, and it is greatly appreciated!

i don't know anything about Brain Damage...
but i do have Bride of Re-animator...
here are couple of good reviews (the one that i trust the most):
http://www.dvdangle.com/reviews/brid...imator_se.html
http://www.dvdreview.com/fullreviews...animator.shtml
if you're the kind of guy (or gurl) who really care alot on picture & sound quality (i do), then Bride of Re-animator won't be your best bet for your "great quality" section DVD...
the picture ain't anamorphic... not saying that all anamorphic = great quality or anything... but the picture was kind of grainy most of the time... very little scratch or print damage (hardly notice) but the color & detail aren't really a top notch quality (a little bit blurry for my taste... specially if you got big screen TV like 32" or bigger)
the sound... umm.. it's dolbe suround. it's ok, but my other favorite movies sound better then this (like 1990 remake of Night of The Living Dead). so, it's ok...
the story is ok... but the original is still better by far.
overall, this is ok IF you're a fan of stuart gordon & brian yuzna's re-animator.... but like i said, this disk NEED alot more attention from the studio... alot of improvement needs to be done (5.1 digital & remastered anamorphic should do the trick just fine)
hope it helps

Thanks for them, they are a great help
Also is there going to be a re-release of this title sometime in the future with improved sound and picture quality, they've done it with RE-ANIMATOR so why not with BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR?????

i've asking that same question for some time now
the original re-animator was under Elite studio, but bride was under Pioneer...
so... i dunno.
besides, original re-animator was a big cult... not sure about bride though
oh yeah, if you ever seen godfather DVD & like the transfer, then you won't have to worry about bride... (reasonable comparation)
hope it helps
