I vaguely remember playing this one. It was one of the first console RPGs I played way back when. I think I hit a bug when I played it though: Somehow my sword got cursed, and the process of getting it uncursed made it so strong it took out every enemy (even bosses) with just 1 swing!

Yes!
I remember it as being pretty expensive ($69.95.) I think it's the most I've ever paid for a game.
It was a damn good RPG from my recollection. Had many hours of enjoyment and frustation beating it.
I wish I hadn't traded it off years ago. sigh.

Funny seeing a post like this, I rarely see anything about old Genesis/SNES games anymore. I beat the game at least once, probably twice, and I still have it and play it from time to time.
A sequel for the GBA would be great.
Now I only wish I hadn't traded off King's Bounty (I think that was what it was called), anyone remember that game?

I remember this game being somewhat unique at the time because the games random encounters used a fairly basic arcade style fighting engine. Also the boss encounters were graphically impressive for the time.
I think I beat the game about 3X
