Good BREAK UP Songs???

Hey all,

I'm lookin for some opinions.

I just got out of a long relationship and I think i'm swiftly moving into the anger phase. Things are going quite nicely, thanks.

I was wondering if anyone has any picks for what I could put on a anger-management "break up" CD.

I'll throw out a few right now...

In The End- Linkin Park
You Oughta Know- Alanis Morrisette
Stop- Matchbox Twenty

Any others???

The all-time greatest break-up song is One More Minute by Weird Al.

this one might be a little "overboard"

Korn - My Gift To You

Laying by my precious
Not long ago
Hiding behind the shadows
Of your broken soul
Why is it always you want something you can never have?
Why did you you try to tell me?
How could you be this way

Your throat, I take grasp
Can you feel the pain?
Then your eyes roll back
Can you feel the pain?
Love racing through my veins
Can't you feel the pain?
Your heart stops beating
Can't you feel the pain
Black orgasms
Can't you feel the pain
I kiss your lifeless skin
Can't you feel the pain

There you are my precious
With your broken soul
Rubbing my crotch, elated
Taking control
Why is it always
You **** up something you have always had
Why'd you try to tell me
How could you be so cold?

Your throat, I take grasp
Can you feel the pain?
Then your eyes roll back
Can you feel the pain?
Love racing through my veins
Can't you feel the pain?
Your heart stops beating
Can't you feel the pain
Black orgasms
Can't you feel the pain
I kiss your lifeless skin
Can't you feel the pain

Here I am, just a man
Feeling the pain, gives me life
Relieving us is my plan
I'd do anything to see through your eyes
Just to see through your lies

I hate you, Can you feel the pain?

Can't you feel the pain?

I hate you, Can you feel the pain?

Your throat, I take grasp
Can you feel the pain?
Then your eyes roll back
Can you feel the pain?
Love racing through my veins
Can't you feel the pain?
Your heart stops beating
Can't you feel the pain
Black orgasms
Can't you feel the pain
I kiss your lifeless skin
Can't you feel the pain

"Dark Days" by Gerald Collier. It's really seething.

And when you fall into the abyss and want to listen to a depressing album full of heartbreak songs, I'd suggets his I Had To Laugh Like Hell.

The Pursuit of Happiness, "Love Junk"

If you can find it, just buy it. Trust me.

"...sometimes I get like a restless dog, I wander the streets...
...looking for someone who can *&^% you out of my mind..."

I'd have to second the vote for just about any Nine Inch Nails album....and another suggestion:

Stabbing Westward

The album called Darkest Days is pretty much all "you broke my heart you f'n bitch" type songs with titles such as: How Can I Hold On, You Complete Me, Save Yourself, Haunting Me, Torn Apart, Sometimes It Hurts, Desperate Now, On Your Way Down, Goodbye, and When I'm Dead. If you've not heard their music, in my opinion they sound like a more commercial version of Nine Inch Nails.

Another album of theirs is called UNGOD which contain lyrics like:

"You are all I am, you are all I ever want to be
I think of you
A solitary cry echoes through my throat and through my mind
I think of you

I think I woke up screaming
I had a dream that you still loved me
I think I woke up screaming
I think I woke up screaming again"

and from another song called "Lies"

"Your soul a pit of stone
The depths I wish I could have known
Dangerous, black and full of spite
Thoughts of you still fill my night
But now we lay naked on the floor
I'm lost, I'm drowning in your soul
I was searching for some answer in your eyes
I find malicious laughter and a love that has died

You are haunting my reality
Your lies are the only truth that I believe
You are haunting my reality
Now everytime I think about you I die"

Cheerful, ain't it? Good luck in recovering from your break up, just keep in mind, its all for the best.
