What was the first album/cd to get a parental advisory sticker

DVD Talk Platinum Edition
CDs had been having warning stickers for some time, but I think the first one to have the official "Parental Advisory" sticker on it may have been Ritual de lo Habitual by Jane's Addiction (could be wrong though).

Vanilla Ice didn't have one, well at least it doesn't now hehe cuz I see hundreds of them in the Bargain bin hehe.
I'm guessing something by NWA or Ice T. I remember seeing stickers on an NWA cd before they had finalized the whola PA thing.
BTW, that movie last night kicked ass. Dee Snider is a pretty funny guy, and I loved how they edited the bad words from the politicians but not when "the good guys" said it.

Took this off some site promoting a book called Parental Advisory
It's part of a time line:
The PMRC writes to music industry presidents and CEOs and requests a rating system for music lyrics and imagery. The letter contains a list of the "filthy fifteen" (the artists initially targeted by the PMRC), those artists are AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Cyndi Lauper, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, Madonna, Mary Jane Girls, Mercyful Fate, Motley Crüe, Prince, Sheena Easton, Twisted Sister, Vanity, Venom, and W.A.S.P.
According to this, Prince's Purple Rain was the album that got Tipper all up in arms.

Pretty good movie. Sort of surprised to hear the "language" on commercial television.
And Mariel Hemingway as Tipper Gore is some of the most inspired casting I've seen in ages.
And the guy who played Dee Snider nailed his part, too.

That parental advisory site mentioned above is great. They have a good timeline with a lot of interesting facts. Anyway, ya, in the movie she was all upset over Purple Rain. She bought it because it won a grammy and figured it was good or something. I love how some people think.

If the "black and White " logo of the PA logo came out in 1989, then why does Apitie for Distruction by G&R have one. Last night, VH1 said that the first album to get one was by Ice T. (no it was not the cop killer cd)
