Weird, but good movie scores

I recently saw Requiem For A Dream and Memento, and I thought the soundtracks were very different in a good way.

It kind of reminds me of A Clockwork Orange. When I saw this movie for the first time a few years ago, the theme song just sounded so strange. I wonder if 20 years from now people will think the same for Requiem and Memento.

Yep, both of these soundtracks are excellent.

The score for Ravenous is good and most definitely is weird.

Not sure if it is 'weird' or not, but the soundtrack to Donnie Darko is ace. Beautiful and a bit strange at the same time, like the film.

Donnie Darko is a great soundtrack album.

Requiem For A Dream is excellent as well and Memento too. I have all three of these.

Others you might want to check out.

I liked the sound tracks for Requiem for a Dream and Pi, but they kinda give me a headache whenever I watch them.

Morricone's score for a film called "Rampage" is pretty strange and scary sounding.

I really like the score to The Virgin Suicides. It was all done by Air, I think. Captures the haunting, ephemeral feeling of the movie very well.

I always thought the soundtracks done by Tangerine Dream were strange and different, but beautiful. They did soundtracks for movies such as:
Sorcerer
Thief
Legend
The Keep

I like scores from Vangelis. Some are very weird and wonderful.

Hey, if you like that, check out Henry Purcell's "Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary."
