PS2 Japanese version, need a voltage converter?
Hi
I am looking to buy a Japanese version PS2 so I can play some Japanses games that are not released in the US. I know that Japan uses 100v VS. US uses 110-120v. Do I need a voltage converter to use the Japanses PS2 in the states? Anybody here owns a Japanese PS2??
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks.

To the best of my understanding the power board inside the PS2 is rated well beyond 120v and should be able to handle a US socket without a stepdown convertor. I had a jap. ps2 for about a year after it launched in Japan and never used a stepdown and never had a problem.
If your worried about this Radio Shack has stepdown convertors for like 50-70 bucks.
