Rediscovering your favorites

I was pretty bored this afternoon so I started rummaging through my cd collection and I came across Metallica-..And Justice For All a cd I haven't listened to in about 2-3 years. I pop it in and listen to To Live Is To Die and remembered how much I loved it when I first heard it.

Has anyone recently or ever start listening to a certain favorite cd or song that they haven't listened to in awhile?

With the recent release of their horrible album "Attak," I've been listening to a lot of old, good KMFDM.

I went an extremely long time without listening to "Retreat From The Sun" by that dog. and "My Way Or The Highway" by Tuscadero, but both (especially "Retreat...") have been in very heavy rotation in my CD player over the past few months. "Retreat From The Sun" is such an amazing album, and I'm tempted to place it very close to the top of my all-time favorite records.

Don't laugh, but I was checking out Van Halen's 1984 for the first time in around 5 years, and have listened to it 3 times this week!

I listened to Saga - World's Apart on the way to work this morning. Used to love them in the 80's.

Funny you mention this. I have been going through an Aerosmith: Rocks revival. What a great album! Any fans of their older (and best) material should crank-up Nobody's Fault and see if your youth doesn't come screaming back.

You've inspired me to put it in. That is a CLASSIC song. [sigh] too bad we'll never see that Metallica again.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of my older primus stuff. I go on binges of certain bands for weeks at a time where I listen to just about only them hehe.

To be honest, I think their best album by far is "Adios" - I quite like the addition of Skold to the band. That being said, "Attak" is among my fave's by them too.

I guess I just prefer their newer sound.
