Does Netflix "fake out" availability?
I'm beginning to suspect that netflix's disc availability queues (the order in which customers wait for a particular disc) are not First In, First out...that they shuffle the order around at netflix's discretion. The 9 titles at the top of my queue that have been "Short wait, Long wait, Very Long wait" for the last 4 months...and never available. My queuelength has been about 15-20 over the months.
It is now down to 9, and had no discs out (waiting for other titles to free up) and I was getting those bold "warnings" about adding more titles to the queue. This time I ignored the messages and lo and behold, 2 discs, one "short wait" another "long wait" where then marked "ready for shipping"...and I just received the email this morning that they have been sent.
Is it possible that netflix is shuffling the availability queue of titles to encourage people to add more titles to their queues? Assuming that as long as titles are being sent, people won't complain...that much.
But they try to satisfy those with shorter wishlist queues by bumping them to the front of the line for a particular title.
Anyone else experience something similar?

Without even getting into that, I've had a situation in which the first title in my queue was available "Now" yet 3 consecutive times another DVD sent
