Medeski Martin & Wood "Uninvisible"

Picked this disc up today. I like it way better than The Dropper. It's a great mix of the hip hop jazz funk of Shack-Man and Combustication and the artistic genre-pushing of The Dropper. Right now, I'm on song 7, and I'm dancing my ass off...any other thoughts?

Sorry, I have a music snob friend that LOVES this band, and I'm trying to picture him dancing his ass off.

Oh, I'm most definitely a music snob too (c'mon, Penny, I like Wilco and MMW). But sometimes, you've just got to let your ass slap your brain upside the head and remember why you started loving music in the first place...

Medeski Martin & Wood is NOT a good way for me to remember why I started loving music in the first place. Just not big on this band. But you keep shaking your ass, you hear?

Haven't heard it yet but I'll be seeing them on the 20th. Should be good. I'll have to pick this up.

Yes, they did, and it is called "A Go Go". It's a good disc...the new Sco ("Uberjam") is better though, and MMW has a few better discs out than this one as well ("Shack-Man", "Combustication", "Uninvisible").
