Review Wanted: Freeway (1996)

Considering this movie has Keifer Sutherland and Reese Witherspoon, I thought it might be worth checking out. Is this DVD even worth renting? How's the plot, special features, etc?

Thanks.

Terrific acting by both Kiefer and Reese. Sadly, neither get naked onscreen. Brittany Murphy has a nice small part.

Only thing on this disc a commentary by director, Matthew Bright. He's quite boring though. Still, this movie is very entertaining and i'd highly recommend it. Stay away from part 2 though!

I really hated this film the first time I saw it. The movie has a really sweet/sour tone to it - not a bad thing necessarily, but I wasn't in the mood for it. A very odd mix of dark humor.

Second time I appreciated it a lot more. Great acting from Witherspoon and (surprise!) Sutherland. I won't definitely say that I like the movie, but it does have some good qualities.

The film is wicked, twisted, and darkly comic. Witherspoon won a fewBest Actress awards for her role in the film as a criminal teen white trash - she deserved it. A total firecracker! I really quite enjoyed it.

Yep, excellent twisted take on the Little Red Riding Hood story with a great cast. I was pleasantly suprised to find that the disc included a DD5.1 track which wasn't indicated on the package.

I enjoyed this movie very much. Very dark comedy. I don't have the disc though, so I can't comment on that. As stated earlier, stay clear of the sequel!

Great movie and an inexpensive DVD. It doesn't have any extras but the video and audio are very good. here's a review....

Oh yeah, I'd like to echo the sentiment: stay far, far away from the sequel! One of the worst movies I've seen!

If you like dark comedies, definitely, definitely, definitely give this one a try... one of my favorite dark comedies, ever. Period. I loved it the first time I saw it (and the second, and the third) - I even listened to the commentary (I don't do this much), and it wasn't too bad.

You can get this at a great price... and it's definitely worth it.
