Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - new album

"Plastic Fang" comes out on Tuesday. Amazon lists a regular version & a Limited Edition for $1 more. Anyone know what the difference is? The Matador site was no help.

No idea what the difference is, but for $1 more, I'll probably go ahead and pick up the limited one. Can't wait for this disc though...been far too long since JSBX released an album, and I really like what I've heard so far.

I found my answer. Here's a quote from someone at Matador:

--------
The special package has the same unusual booklet as the regular CD (3 pages of different widths, so you have three visible flaps on the front, hard to explain), but instead of being in a jewelcase, it's in a slipcase that in turn is in a plastic bag with a cardboard strip stapled to the top like a bag of candy.

The strip is punched so that it hangs on store display racks like candy bags.

The CD itself is identical in both packages.

... unfortunately it did cost us more to make, so it has a higher price!

Patrick
---------

Disappointing. I think I'll probably go with the regular version.

I was not too impressed with the looks of the limited edition package when I saw it yesterday. Plus, at Tower, the regular case was $13.99 and the limited package was $19.99, so I went with the regular.

As for the album itself, it rocks of course (after all, this is the JSBX we're talking about). For the most part, the songs actually sound like real songs and not just excuses to yell BLUES EXPLOSION! over and over again (not that there's anything wrong with that). Just refreshing to know that at least some band remembers how to play real rock n' roll...
