This receiver should be a great choice for those looking for the newest sound formats at a very good price.
I was almost going to wait for this myself, but it does not have pre-outs for all channels which is a big no no in my book (especially for a receiver retailing for over 500 bucks). It locks you in with the internal amps and does not allow you you to expand in the future, which I am looking to do. Other than that though, in a smaller sized room, it should give you everyhting you need.

Rumor has it that the 600 will be $450 at Circuit City, which means it should be even cheaper at other places. It will be an excellent buy, if it has the same quality as the previous models.
