Review Wanted: Slap Shot 2

I loved the orginial Slap Shot, but I'm not sure what to think about Slap Shot 2. Did this movie even make it to the theatres? I'm trying to decide if I should buy the 2 pack or just Slap Shot. I laugh my butt off watching the Hanson brothers and I notice that they are in SS2, but the movie looks cheezy. Any thoughts on SS2?

Just for info, I normally love any type of sports movies from The Replacements to Rocky.

Thanks

For a direct to video feature, Slap Shot 2 really isn't that bad. Of course it's not as good as the original, but it avoids most of the cliches direct to video sequels seem to follow. The performances aren't bad, the story is decent, and its technically sound.

Its much better than something like The Replacements. I'd recommend picking up the 2-pack. The discount you get when you buy them both is pretty decent.

Yeah, just go with the original Slap Shot. Or else, you'll be the guy who owns a movie that stars Stephen Baldwin! Oh the horror...
