Amazon.com sales rank
What the hell is this? It can't be units sold. It can't be relative number of units sold. I am lost. Any help?

This bestseller list is much like The New York Times Bestsellers List, except it lists millions of items! The lower the number, the higher the sales for that particular title.

I'm not really sure how they figure stuff out either....for instance, I'm sure there are tons of no-name DVDs that have had the same few amount of orders...which has the higher sales rank? Based on time of purchase?
It'd be interesting if there was a distinct calculation listed.
