I have read that most people are happy with the apex ad1500 for the money from posts I have read on this board and others. I wanted to be able to hack it to record dvd on vhs. I found a site that has a chip you can buy to put in it. Do you need the chip to do this? Also, anyone know if this player is on sale anywhere?
I see Amazon has it for $79.00. Anyone buy from there and can tell me what the serial number starts with. I read that you can't do hack at all if the sn starts with SV. I guess it needs to start with A,B,C, or D.
