Review Wanted: Vertical Limit (superbit)
I'm thinking about purchasing the Vertical Limit superbit DVD that was just released today. I don't have the non-superbit version and was just curious how the video and audio quality was on this version. (I've already seen the movie so no need to describe plot, etc.)
Thanks for any help you may provide.

I've read on other boards (hometheaterspot.com) where people have seen/viewed this DVD (superbit version) already.
??????
I'll check my local Best Buy tonight.

I'm sorry that I'm not as enthusiastic about the video transfer.
There's nothing wrong with the initial SE release. Sure the DTS track is really good, but the video really ISN'T THAT IMPROVED.
The 5.1 DD track was very well recorded on the initial release. Sorry, but I'm glad that I rented this one and DID NOT TRADE IN my original DVD. (I did a scene by scene comparison over my HDtv with progressive scan players.)
Now, AIR FORCE ONE and GATTACA are a completely different ball of wax. These Superbits really shine! They're a vast improvement over their non-Superbits counterparts.

Need you Vertical Limit SB opinions
Though i don't think that this is the greatest movie in the world it is entertaining to me. I've seen the Special Edition release and though it was good (and the DD killer) i thought it could have looked better. I am wondering what the opinions are of those on this board what do you think of the quality of the SB release (pic, dts) and would you recommend the quality over the regular release? I thank you for all your responses.

Actually, the SUPERBIT transfer makes some of the worst blue-screen effects look even worse. Look at the opening scene and compare the SE to the SUPERBIT. I'll stick with my SE as on my HDtv the effects look far to fake on VERTICAL LIMIT.
