Free goodies from Samgoody.com!
They're been very good to me so far. In the few months I've been member of the Replay Club I've earned over 70,000 points (thanks mostly to the triple point days).
Well, I got home today and awaiting for me was an interesting sized USPS package. Inside was a nice Vampire-D Bloodlust (I bought it on DVD) movie poster. If that freebie wasn't enough, I checked my Replay Points and they gave me a complimentary 10,000 pts! Weee!
This has been a nice suprise because everyone was bitching about how they didn't give any good deals and their retail prices are too high.
Free money and goodies, you can't beat that.

Actually, the Replay thing can be a pretty good deal, but only if you buy stuff that is a great deal (relative to anywhere), and you try to use the triple points.
For example, last year when the Suncoast/Sam Goody/MediaPlay chain was blowing out some Anchor Bay titles, they got down to $2.99, and there were some good films available with list prices of up to $30. Also, most of those titles were useable for the Wherehouse trade 3-for-1 deal, so you could end up getting new releases (up to $30 list at that time), for about $9.50, including tax. I remember buying about 30 of those AB discs at one time on a triple points day, so besides getting 10 new movies at Wherehouse for about $95 during the next few weeks (most of which weren't available at Columbia House), I also got about $15 in replay certificates for that purchase.
Pre-order prices are also pretty good at the local Suncoast sometimes. The recent Book of the Dead was $29.99, and if you prepaid during triple-points days, you got about $4.50 in certificates, for a net cost of $25.50.
Just ask the clerk to let you look through the pre-order list. It gives list price and pre-order price, and some of them are 40% off. If you see things you want, pay the full pre-order price during the triple-points days.
All that said, I would NEVER buy a normal-priced movie at Suncoast, because as everyone knows, the prices are way too high.
Finally, it costs almost nothing to sign up for Replay because you get a rebate for doing it.
If you have one of these stores near you, it's not a bad deal. If used to your advantage, the Replay thing is pretty cool.
