Who else like Coldplay?

I don't see how people can call them boring? They create some of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard.

I agree. I love Parachutes, superb album IMO. I hope they go just a little more uptempo with their next album though, but not too much. Heck, bands like Starsailor, etc. are already copying them, so they must be good.

they are good. parachutes is a very good album, it can get just a little boring, but songs like shiver make up for it.

I love their cd and to call them boring is wrong. It's beautiful heartfelt music. Music you can just put on and fall to sleep too. I wish there were more bands out there like them.

I like them quite a bit, but I have to be in the mood for it. But...I definitely wouldn't call them boring.

I love their tracks on the radio, "Yellow" and "Trouble"...

I plan on listening to their whole album quite soon

I'd have to say Starsailor's 'Love is Here' is better than 'Parachutes.'

been hearing that the second album is coming later in the year. Anyone who like's Coldplay should also check out "Doves" ("Lost Souls") who's debut is also equally impressive. The second album from the "Doves" comes out in the UK in April, a stateside release should hopefully follow shortly thereafter.

Starsailor has been together for 5 years, and Coldplay has been together for 3.

There is something about Coldplay that I do not like -- maybe it is because I've heard 'Yellow' sooo many times, or maybe its his voice (have only listened to their about about 3 times, so maybe they will grow on me). I don't know. But Starsailor - they have really grown on me and I think 'Love is Here' is an excellent album, and James Walsh's voice is just fabulous. Granted, I wouldn't want to listen to the album *all* of the time, you just have to be in the mood for it. What is everyone's thoughts about Elbow?

I guess it would be more correct for me to say that the big record company who told Starsailor what kind of direction to take with their album is trying to imitate Coldplay.

Ditto. That Doves disc is very good. "The Cedar Room" is a stunningly good track.

I recently saw Elbow performing with South and live Elbow were really good, better than South IMO. I love the South album, but live, they were disappointing. Elbow's album - pseudo folk acoustic rock is very good, but tends to drag.

My favourite track off of the Dove's album: "The Man Who Told Everything"

I just got the South album, and I think it is fantastic. Wouldn't mind seeing them live...

I downloaded Coldplay's "Parachutes" in the summer of 2000 on Napster. Even before it's UK release and I was blown away immediately.

Starsailor I've had a couple of their singles for a long time because I guess this album wasn't done yet. I like them a lot. Although them being on the Nickelback, Default, Injected tour here in the U.S. is not only laughable, it's just wrong.......very very wrong. Nickelback created one of the year's best singles and worst albums.

There's gonna be violence if I don't get to catch Coldplay in America on the next tour. They usually only play a few big cities and that's it. If people would buy the fooking album next time maybe they'll actually have a decent tour.

Parachutes never gets boring. You're terribly wrong, Sebastien.
