Did anyone else notice that this week's Best Buy ad had a ad for the "Crossroads" movie soundtrck CD for $2.99? Was this a pricing error ,typo or something else? Did anyone else see this error?

Nope not a pricing error, I believe the CD only retails for something like $6.99. I picked it up the last time it was $2.99 back in Feb.

I do like that Matthew Sweet song but the video was kinda..blah.

So I did a little digging and I discovered the reason this soundtrack was not a full fledged soundtrack such as we are accustomed to. It seems that Britney's label realized her last cd, self-titled Britney, was not doing well in the sales dept. Add to that the release of a dvd and a movie & her label believed the Britney machine was going into overload. It was too much for the masses so they scaled this soundtrack back so as to not take sales away from her other merchandise.
