Have you rediscovered an older game lately?

I just got into Blitz for psx. I know it's not super old or anything but just started playing again, and having fun. Any old games are you getting into again.

I play older games all the time. Just last year I went out and bought Civilization 2 for the PC. That's one old game. Also, I've had my GBA for about 4 months now but I find myself playing lots of older GBC titles. Right now Zelda Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Mario Golf, and Dragon Warrior 3 are keeping me very busy...and happy. The Zelda games and Mario Golf aren't all that old but Dragon Warrior 3 must be almost 15 years old. Plus there's the 2 Super Mario Advance games which are old as hell too.

I can almost picture the day, several years from now, when I plug my N64 back in and play Mario 64, Mario Kart, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, both Zeldas, and some other games again. That's gonna be sweet.

After not playing it for almost a year, I just got back into Baldur's Gate 2. It took a while to figure out where I left off and what had already gone on, but I'm back into it again.

I am always getting back into old puzzle games (puzzlers seem to hold up much better over time).

Tetris DX has lived in my GBA and I have been back into Intelligent Qube (a VERY unappreciated puzzler for the PSX).

I think I'll pick up Intelligent Cube, if I can find it.

I had a PSX instead of an N64 and only got interested in the N64 titles late in its run. I bought one used and I got Conker's BFD and Perfect Dark. I'll probably get the Zelda's too.

Going back farther, I still have Chakan for the Genesis. I just posted a thread about wanting to see that one get updated.

Going way back, I replayed Adventure on Atari 2600 a few months ago. Love that game. Damn that bat!

I'm finding for the first time the joy that is Super Metriod. I got it in a ROM file (can I say that?) and I'm loving it.

Just started playing through Resident Evil 2 again, as I count the days to play the new Import RE1 one on gamecube.

It's a little easier these days, as I remember most of the puzzles, and have a bazooka w/ unlimited ammo.

Alreaady beat the HUNK mission again... maybe I'll give good ol' Tofu a shot after beating the whole game again.

Oh man i loved Wasteland. I played it first on an Apple IIE (or C) and loved it - then picked it up years later and played it a couple times on the PC. Nothing like choosing to fire in bursts

Most recently though i picked up playing Masters of Magic and Age of Wonders - great games both. That is only because C&C: Renegade has me about ready to just quit/give up and uninstall it due to be so irritatingly difficult.

My very favorite game! I spent much of my childhood life playing this game on my C64.

If you need any help, let me know. I've got the hintbook around here somewhere and I could look stuff up.

I rediscovered DiabloII... played with my brother on Bnet, but funny enough, it's still as unstable as it was when it got released so I deleted it, I got bored of swinging 50 times at 1 mob to kill it then losing 80% of my hp in 1 hit when everything is dead.

I missed out on this great Saturn title the first time around and am trying to pick this up for a reasonable price.

Got around to installing "Undying" the other day. Never played very well on my Radeon64, but I thought my GF4 Ti 4400 would handle it a little better.

Needless to say, I can see why everyone liked it so much. I think more FPS games need to let you have a weapon in each hand

Instead of any of the new games sitting on my shelf, I decided to finish Ultima 9 (1999), start Planescape Torment (1999), and poke around in Ultima 2 and 5 (after finding fan-made patches that add EGA graphics and MIDI music, respectively).

The Sims gets new life every 6 months or so.

Thanks to VDM Sound, I can play just about any old DOS game in Windows XP! I've got SSI's The Summoning installed, Origin's Savage Empire, and might just play Might & Magic 4 and 5 before jumping back into 7 and 8.

Rediscovering new games daily...
