Xbox 1080i 480p?
I have 65 in Mits. that can accept 480p and 1080i signals. I have seen the menu in the X Box that enables both of these settings, however I cannot get the TV to display a 1080i signal, only a 480p.
I have the Monster Component cables.
What am I doing wrong? Or is it my game (Halo)??
Thanks for any info!!!

Nothing! There are currently no games that are written for 1080i. All the current games are setup in the 480p with some of them having the widescreen option. You can get the list of 480p/widescreen games at www.hometheaterforum.com. Remeber that there are no 1080i games out yet!

The reason being that rendering a frame at 1080i takes approx 4 times the video memory that 480 takes, IIRC.
It will happen, but has to be planned for from the beginning because of the heavy memory usage.

thanks for the replies.
I will be anxiously awaiting a 1080 i game.
How big is the difference in 1080i and 480 p? I know I consider the difference in 480i and 480p huge. My dvd's are nearly unwatchable now on 480i
