The Cult - Live in LA DVD to be released
I was just surfing thecultnet.com and it states they filmed the Oct. 4th gig (opening for
Aerosmith) in LA for DVD. Does anyone know when it will be released? Their latest album
"Beyond the Good & Evil" is the best CD to ever be released and I cant wait for the DVD.

I, too, have been searching for more info on a DVD release. So far, I've not heard anything at all. Shame, this was no doubt a great show from a great band touring with a great album. Their best effort in years. Let's hope it sees the light of day and with tons of extras for the fans!

The Cult to release live concert DVD and extras on August 13th
Here are a couple answers I received from Image Entertainment
on the DVD:
Robert,
The Cult is still on our schedule for an August 13 release date
and the "official" release announcement will be in a few weeks
in our May new release catalog. Once announced you will be
able to pre-order at any online retailer or just walk into a store
on August 13 and buy it.
Specs....86 minutes long, 16X9 (1.78:1 aspect ratio), 5.1,
DTS, approx 26 minutes of behind the scenes footage. Full
details in a few weeks.
Rise
In The Clouds
Lil' Devil
Peace Dog
Take The Power
My Bridges Burn
Rain
Edie
The Witch
Breathe
The Saint
Fire Woman
Sweet Soul Sister
Wild Flower
She Sells Sanctuary
Encore:
True Believers
War
Nirvana
Love Removal Machine

Actually answered my own question by checking out the Cult's official site. Here's a news clip from the site:
The Cult Announce Special LA Show - Oct. 4 Gig to Be Featured on DVD Release Sep 28, 2001
Your shot at 15 minutes of fame, and a chance to see a special Cult show - that's a damn good deal for only 15 bucks! The October 4th LA gig precludes the Aerosmith tour by a few days, and the one-off event will be recorded for a soon-to-release DVD. So head down to the Grand Olympic Auditorium, get up front, scream your head off, (or just give that come hither look) and you might see yourself immortalized in the video.
Sounds cool.

The Cult Live on DVD: INCREDIBLE!!!
This is one of the best shows I've ever witnessed. The Cult on this DVD is the definition of hard rock 'n roll. Pure, high octane, adrenaline fueled energy.
Well filmed with GREAT sound... what more could a rock and roller ask for?
Highly recommended... Even for casual Cult fans.

The Cult Rules
I got my DVD yesterday and it is well worth it. Great picture and sound. The CD "Beyond Good and Evil" is the best rock album ever in my opinion. Pick it up and get the DVD and be blown away!

I picked this up yesterday. Awesome sound, and a solid performance. As a guitar player, my only complaint was the cameras typcially focused on Ian; no long close-ups of Billy Duffy. Other than that, it rocks!
