I need help, please! Concerns XBOX music uploading...

I have tried numerous times. I have looked everywhere that I could think of for tips. I come up short every time. Could someone tell me, as a definite answer, whether the XBOX supports CD-R (or CD-RW) disks when it comes to uploading music to the console? If so, could you tell me how to get disks uploaded. Of course a normal CD will work, but not so easy with a burnt disk. I have converted MP3s to .wav, but that didn't seem to work. Will only certain branded disks work, or what? Help!

I don't think the Xbox will work with CD-Rs or CD-RWs. If there is a brand of them that will work I haven't heard about it.

Yes, some CD-R's work with the xbox. Most Cd-RW's work with the XBox. Look here for more info:

I used a Memorex CD-RW, but yes, some CD-R's have been reported to work. Also, I'm not too sure about .wav, but what you want to do is convert your mp3's to the .cda extension in your burning software.

I figured I'd tack my 'ripping' questions onto this thread.

1. I use ITunes from my mac to encode mp3 files. It doesn't allow for .cda file encoding. Does anyone know if Toast allows this and if it does, how to go about it?

2. This one, flay, is mainly for you since I know you have the answer. About how long does it take to copy a disc full of .cda files into the XBox? Thanks in advance.

A completely filled 650MB CD-RW took about 35-40 minutes, if I remember correctly. I haven't done it in a while.
