his voice is so fantastic! (he sang the cover of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" that is during the end credits of Meet Joe Black and the same song has appeared elsewhere...)

anyway, just thought i'd say how much i love his voice. it is terribly unfortunate that he passed away so soon..

Yeah, I love him, too. I used to live in Hawaii, and his death, while not entirely unexpected, was still a shock to the whole state. He was given a hero's funeral and lay in state at the State Capitol. It's so great to see him get national attention, too bad it's posthumous.
His version of Over the Rainbow was also featured as the closing credits to Finding Forrester and in a series of TV commercials for etoys. His last three studio albums are all great, but Facing Future is the best one (that's the one with "Rainbow" on it). I've been a little disappointed with the two posthumous albums (one live, one alternate takes and rarities), but I guess it's better than nothing.
