Ok, after playing the C&C Renegade demo a bit i decided i'd really like to get a decent FPS game that involves some teamwork (ie. not just quake or doom-ish stuff). I also really dug being able to drive and assault with tanks, jeeps, etc. in Renegade and i would love to find another game that has vehicles as well. I played the original Tribes and thought that it was that way (teamwork and vehicles) but wasn't sure about the sequel. Anyone know?

Also, if someone wants to give some other recommendations i would appreciate it - especially if it is a game with teamwork, vehicles, and i forgot to mention it earlier but different character classes are kind of cool as well. (That way you actually need a balance to make an effective assault)

Halo has a tank, a jeep (with a canon in the back), an aircraft, a hovercraft, and i think that's it. What's cool is you have get several guys on each vehicle and they can shoot while you drive. the jeep has a big canon in the back.

I think the big issue about this game is that getting it to work on your machine (even if you have a high-end baby) is still pretty hit and miss. The game was extremely buggy when released, and they fired the dev team right after release, so I'm not sure how much the first patch fixed. Haven't checked on anything recently though.

tried it and hated it. all the games i joined seemed very disorganized, and i just hated the jump-jet feature. the cooperation involved in operating vehicles was great -- my favorite was the bomber and the transport. but, overall, i couldn't get into the game. i guess i was looking for more of a rainbow 6 type experience...

Same here. I just didn't like the feel of it. It stayed on my hard drive for maybe a week.

Try the new Castle Wolfenstein if you want a fun FPS with teamwork.
