Wanted: Review of 48HRS.

One of Paramounts earlier releases and it shows. No extra's and I found the picture quality to be very poor so I got rid of my copy. I am pretty sure the transfer is nonanamorphic also. If they revisit it someday I will be all over it. The picture IMHO is slightly better than the VHS.

I somewhat agree, the transfer does need work to say the least, but it is a noticeable improvement over the vhs print. Unless paramount releases a special edition, which they are not prone to do, this may be the only version we see for a while.

Thank you!!! I had a hunch that it wasn't a very good quality DVD, since their was no reviews about it on the Web. I loved the movie, even with all the racial slurs ( IMO they got to be a bit much) I'll wait....

If you can find a good used copy for trade or sale I'd pick it up. You won't see a SE anytime soon and it was a pretty good movie. I picked it up on a trade so it was more valuable to me than the title I traded, but I doubt I'd spring retail for it unless it drops to the bargain bin
