PS2 Repair Question
I have an older version PS2, and when I turn on the power all the software seems to boot up fine, but when I try to open the tray, I hear a whirring noise, like the motor is struggling to push out the disc tray, and then silence. Do any of you have an easy solution to fix this problem? Do I have to buy a new motor, tray, or what? If so, does anyone know where I can get these parts? Any suggestions or links would be extremely appreciated.
Thanks!

Try calling Sony first (1-800-345-Sony) My older version PS2 (bought at launch) stopped reading discs and scratched my Madden game in a circular motion. When I called Sony to tell them, they said that it shouldn't be doing this and would waive the repair fees for me. If it helps any, I spoke to a lady named Olga and she was VERY nice about the whole situation. In fact, she even said they would replace the Madden disc for me. I was shocked because my PS2 is way over the 1 year warranty and it would have cost me over $100 to get it fixed. Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to try.
