Barnes and Noble Pricing!?

Just curious I've had a couple of gift certificates to B&N and had never really checked out their dvd section at a B&M until now.

What is up with their pricing!!!

Thought I would get Rat Race and it was listed at $29.99!!!

Then checking out their other dvds you can't find hardly any for under $24.99!!!

Are they above MSRP? I guess I'll hold on to these and wait for a sale if they ever have one!!!!!

I just couldn't get over it!

Yes, they are high. It is better to wait until you can use a $10 off $40 coupon. I don't know is there is one out there right now but when combined with their free shipping, it's a decent deal.

I used to work for a B&N affiliate, and I never even bothered to use my discount for CDs or DVDs. It seems that they are content to price everything (except some new releases) at MSRP and wait for impulse buyers.

I work for Borders now, and I am much happier with their pricing (and discount) structures.

About the only time B&N makes for good DVD purchases is when:
- you're using their Reader's Advantage card
- you've got a coupon - and...
- you're ordering more than one thing so you get free shipping.

If all three of those conditions are met, you might get a good deal.
