Center Channel Recommendations

I recently put in a Klipsch KSC-C1 center speaker. I am not totally happy with it. The sound seems very "tinny" to me, not full bodied. Any recommendations on a good center speaker that delives a full bodied sound?

I use the PSB Alpha Center in my setup. Most people say that you're supposed to match your center with your front speakers, and since I have the PSB Alpha B's for my fronts, it matches. What do you have as your front main speakers? If you're interested the in the PSB Center, you can get it at Soundcity.com for $129 here.

Does Klipsch have a "better" center channel?

You would be wise to try and stay matched if at all possible.

I think I got the best Klipsch center channel. Just made the mistake of not hearing it first. Thats what I get for internet/ebay purchase without auditioning the speakers in person.

looking at their web site, it appears that the quintet comes in a special center channel speaker, like it's part of a package system.

Sorry to hear that. Auditioning speakers is a must in my opinion.

Not sure what to say except perhaps locate a local Klipsch dealer and see if you can a/b some others at their store and see if you can find a match.

Polk Audio CS400i.

Its a very large speaker....thats is only downfall.

HERE is the www.audioreview.com page on it.

I'm running Polk's all around except for a powered M&K sub. Wouldn't change a thing.

Edited: Link isn't working for some reason. Plug it in on audioreview.com and check it out.

The best center speaker you could get (if you have the room) would be the exact same speaker you use for your front surrounds! I have JBL 15" Three-Ways JBL's (very big) and I use them for all speakers (front/rear surrounds and center) and it offers the perfect sound for the front sound stage!

Ended up going with the JBL S Series center and Fronts. Sold my Klipsh set to a friend at work. Heard the JBL locally and was very impressed.
