problem..PLEASE HELP!
Hi, I hope that you guys can help me. I purchased a DVD player in Canada and then we took it back to Chile. The problem is that I wasn't aware of the international codes or whatever that prevents international dvd movies to be played on certain players. Do any of you know a way to get rid of this? How to fix it? Any information will be appreciated
thanks.
thanks.

Chances are your player is Region 1 since you bought it in Canada. The world is divided into different regions as shown in the map below. You cannot play a DVD from another region unless you have a codefree player and/or video converter. A handful of players have the PAL-->NTSC converter built in, but most don't.

I hear that some player can be modificated to be region free. As I don't know your country, I can't help you more with that.
But even if you do this, some titles still don't work on some player, especially Warner and Columbia DVDs.
Oh, that is important too.

Not unless you have a region-free player. Post the make and model so we can see.
