Region free dvd players???

Hello everyone! I know this may be a little off topic, but does anyone know where I can get a region free dvd player? My old dvd players motor burnt out and I need a new one so I think I'll get one without regional coding, but I have no idea where to start looking. Any tips?
Brett

www.avdeals.com The Malata N 996 is THE BEST machine on the planet for what you are looking for. Check out the international forum for info on that player. For the price and what it can do there is no better machine(some will argue as people always do).

I'm interested in getting one so that I can watch some television shows(futurama..etc) from other regions. How is the picture quality on this unit? I know it does the PAL conversion, but I wondered if that degraded the video signal. Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I assume that it has component video outputs?

I am sure that one or both of the AV Deals sites have the specs and features of the Malata N996.

Based on what I have read, component video is only for progressive TVs. For interlaced TVs, I am pretty sure that you would have to use S-video. I will try to confirm within the next few days when mine arrives.

Actually I have a Sony Wega and the picture is better with the component video outputs. I tried both the S-video and component and the component is better IMHO.

This is wrong. To take advantage of progressive scan, yes you have to use the component connection. But you can use the component connection for interlaced, too.

On that Malata n996 you mentioned, is there an RCA jack in the back? I have an amp I put all of my equipment though and I would perfer to have my dvd player going through it too but it sounds like it has it's own speaker jacks. ..

Keep in mind that the one at dvdcity claims to be Macrovision free. If this is a concern. No other supplier has a Macroision free N996. I really wonder how they do it. Of course you can buy a Macrovision eliminator for $50.00 or less on ebay.
