Are there any online find-by-lyrics song finders?

Are there any sites that exists where you can enter in a line of lyrics and it'll tell you what song it's from?

All those sites seem like you have to enter the band or the song name to find the actual lyrics, I think the_dvd_man wants to add a line, such as 'you are my sunshine' and then the engine will find songs with that line of lyrics in it.

So, POWERBOMB, as far as I can tell, your link doesn't do that. Or am I wrong?

Google works great. Works for movie quotes too.

Yeah, but on some occassions the sites have found some songs by lyrics as long as you don't put them in quotations. Haven't tried Google yet.

Well, all I know is I have a song on mp3 that was supposed to be Dave Matthews, but obviously isn't, but I love the song, and I cannot find the artist because I can't find the lyrics anywhere, google sucks. Am I missing something in the google search? Is there a secret way to do it?

Use quotation marks to search for phrases.

E.g.,

"happy birthday to you" "happy birthday dear" lyrics

rather than

happy birthday to you dear lyrics

Just this week I was able to find two songs for my wife when all she knew was a couple of lines from the song.

You could always try posting the lyrics here to see if anyone knows it.
