Review: Jeepers Creepers
My local Future Shop had Jeepers Creepers out a week early, so i picked it up, sight unseen...one of the first discs I've bought without seeing the film first...
Now, i know some people boycott ths film because of the director's past, but I don't usually hold someone's private life against them when watching films (i love Woody Allen)... anyhow,
Jeepers Creepers is a fun and scary flick. Very entertaining from start to finish, creepy as hell and well worth seeing. I am glad I got this disc...I really liked the film. The disc has widescreen and shitscreen versions on the first side of the disc, then side two has 6 featurettes (about 10min each) on the making of the film (this was one long documentary which has been obviously chopped up into bits, as to avoid paying royalties etc. i assume) and they are quite interesting and well worth watching. There is about 20 minutes (slightly less) of deleted and extended scenes which are OK, but most are very similar to what appears in the film. Included are standard bios and trailers as well.
A very satisfying movie and a nice disc, if my only complaint is the picture suffers sometimes, but I think this is due to the budget of the film and not the transfer....

SPOILERS
2 questions...
A) What does Jonathan Breck (The Creeper) sound like?
B) Is there on the disc an extended take of the Creeper pulling out the beheaded cop's tounge?

I didn't know that "shitscreen" was a word.
But, I was unlucky enough to see this in a theatre when it first came out, and you're somewhat right...
I thought it was a big piece of shitscreen.
(the lead chick in it was pretty hot... but the move was garbage)

This is the movie I bitched about and got 2 free tickets to see something else!
It sucked a$$, IMO!!
Added: 1/9/02
My brother rented this from BB and I decided to give it another chance. The movie is not that bad. It's the stupid things Dorry and his sister does throughout the film.
I thought the original ending (on deleted scenes) was pretty cool though.
